Randolph – Just north of Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. Between the Allegheny Indian Reservation and Jamestown, NY.
Ransomville – Only 14 miles to Niagara Falls and a short drive to Niagara on the Lake. Located off Route 104.
Raquette Lake – In the heart of the Adirondacks near Long Lake, Raquette Lake is a Sportsman's Paradise! Beautiful scenery and activities year `round.
Redfield – In Oswego County between Rome to the south and Watertown to the north. Scenic spot on the Salmon River and its reservoir.

Rensselaer – Just across the river from Albany in Rensselaer County.
Rexford – Located in Saratoga County across the Mohawk River from Schenectady in Schenectady County. Convenient to Albany and Albany County.
Rhinebeck The heart of downtown Rhinebeck has many small shops and historic hotels for visitors. Rhinebeck also offers many cultural activities, with classical music from by the Rhinebeck Chamber Music Society and specialty films at Upstate Films.
Rhinecliff – North of Poughkeepsie on the Hudson River and across the Hudson from Kingston in Ulster County.
Richfield Springs – On the northern tip of Canadarago Lake just north of Cooperstown.

Rochester – Corporate headquarters for Eastman Kodak Co., Bausch & Lomb and Xerox give this city the reputation as the Image Capital of America. Hub of activity in Monroe County. Attractions include High Falls waterfront area on the Genesee River, Frontier Field - home of the Rochester Red Wings AAA baseball team and the George Eastman House.

Rock Hill – In Sullivan County on scenic Highway 17.
Rock Stream – North of Watkins Glen on the edge of Seneca Lake.
Romulus – Rustic community north of Ovid and the Finger Lakes National Forest between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Local vineyards and antique shopping.
Roscoe – Sullivan County community near the Delaware County border.
Round Top – In Greene County near the Catskill Game Farm.
Roxbury – In the Catskills of Eastern Delaware County.
Rushford – In Allegany County. Attractions include Rushford Lake, a good fishing spot and the Rushford Town Band which play standards while being pulled in a wagon by a matched pair of Belgian Horses.

Sabael – Adirondacks township on beautiful Indian Lake. Scenic site for fishing, hiking and plenty of other outdoors activities.
Sag Harbor
Salem – Located in Washington County and situated east of Saratoga Springs and southeast of Lake George on the Vermont border. A number of historic landmarks, handsome period homes, covered bridges, museums and cultural events make Salem a place that maintains a rural charm and preserves its historical traditions.
Salisbury Mills – Hudson Valley community convenient to Sugar Loaf, West Point and Mountainville.
Salt Point – In Dutchess County east of Hyde Park and between Staatsburg and Millbrook.

Saratoga Springs – Visitors can watch horse racing at the Saratoga Race Track (in continuous operation since 1864), make an appointment at the mineral baths for a soothing bath with water from glacial-era springs, view the magnificent Victorian homes downtown and on North Broadway, and watch the New York City Ballet at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Saugerties – Located at the foot of the Catskill Mountains and on the shores of the Hudson River, Saugerties is one of the most attractive communities on the Hudson River. Antique shops all within walking distance on a quaint Main Street.
Seneca Falls – Between Auburn and Geneva on the northern edge of Cayuga Lake. Good spot for access to other Finger Lakes attractions as well.
Severance – In the heart of the Adirondacks north of Schroon Lake.

Scio – In hilly Allegany County not far from the Pennsylvania border. Area known for Indian Artifacts and good hiking trails.
Scottsville – Community south of Rochester and convenient to Henrietta and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Schoharie – Tranquil community in the Northern Catskills.
Schroon Lake – Adirondacks community on the northern shore of Schroon Lake in Essex County just north of the Warren County line.
Schuylerville – On the Hudson River and convenient to Saratoga Springs. Visit the Saratoga Monument which commemorates the surrender of British Forces in 1777.

Shelter Island – On the North Fork of Long Island Shelter Island can only be accessed by ferry or boat.

Sherman – Township located between Chautauqua Lake and the Pennsylvania border in Southwestern New York.
Sidney Center
Silver Creek – Set in the beautiful pine woods of Chautauqua County on the shores of Lake Erie south of the Buffalo area.
Silver Springs – West of Letchworth State Park - The Grand Canyon of the East!
Skaneateles – On the northern tip of 16 mile long Skaneateles Lake, one of the cleanest Lakes in the country. This Fingers Lake community has several parks for enjoying the beauty of this area year `round.
Sodus – On Lake Ontario in Wayne County east of Rochester.
Sodus Point – On Sodus Bay off Lake Ontario in Wayne County above Sodus.
South Colton – In the northern foothills of the Adirondacks south if Potsdam.
South Dayton – On the border of Chautauqua and Cattaragus counties.
Southampton Long Island village has seven miles of beautiful oceanfront with eleven individual beaches. A popular Hamptons spot!

Southold – North Fork Long Island Town. The waters and beaches of Long Island Sound and Peconic and Gardiners Bays, and many creeks that enter the bay on the south shore provide opportunities for sightseeing, swimming, boating, and fishing.

Spencertown – Columbia County village east of Chatham, convenient to the Berkshires of Massachusetts and only 36 miles to Albany.

Springville – In Erie County near the Cattaraugus County line.
Staatsburg – North of Poughkeepsie on the Hudson River and across the Hudson from Kingston in Ulster County.
Stamford – Scenic Catskills Mountains village near the border of Schoharie and Greene Counties. Local Utsayantha Mountain peaks at 3,214 feet.

Stephentown – On the Vermont border in Rensselaer County.
Sterling – Home of the famous Sterling Renaissance Festival open July through August each year. Access to Lake Ontario via Fair Haven Beach State Park and proximity to the Finger Lakes and Syracuse make this a nice stop on your travels.
Stillwater – Small closely knit, friendly community, nestled along the Hudson River. Bordered on the North by the Historic Saratoga Battlefield.
St. Johnsville – Just off the New York State Thruway 33 miles from Utica and only 35 miles to Cooperstown.
Stone Ridge
Stony Brook – Between Head Harbor and Port Jefferson on Long Island - attractions include the colonial Stony Brook Village - the first planned business community in the U.S. with Federalist style shops.
