South Winds Bed & Breakfast

South Winds Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located in the heart of Westhampton Beach village on the South Fork of Long Island. Our world renowned ocean beach is just a short bicycle ride away. Within walking distance are novelty shops, a movie theater, the Westhampton Performing Arts Center and wonderful restaurants. Also nearby are the South Fork Vineyards, Riverhead Aquarium, The Tanger Outlets, antique shops, golf courses and nature trails.

Our bed and breakfast is a century old restored colonial home located in the heart of Westhampton Beach. Formerly the home of New York State Governor and Presidential Candidate Alfred E. Smith in the 1930's, South Winds has been beautifully restored to its former elegance. Each of the second floor bedrooms are newly renovated and feature private baths, hair dryers, televisions, air conditioning in season, and plenty of space to relax.

Sit back and enjoy the fresh air on our large front porch or lounge comfortably alongside our heated pool in the summer months. Awake to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and savor Rosemary's specially prepared breakfast with scones and muffins each morning. Come share our home for a peaceful retreat or a romantic getaway!

Our Rooms

Our North Room is a charming room decorated in country blue. The room is characterized by its billowy white curtains at the two large windows and a country quilt on the brass queen-size bed.
The East Room is a favorite with couples looking for a romantic getaway. The room is painted in a pretty shade of mauve with paisley curtains, and a white bedspread covers the wicker bed. Relax in the heart-shape chair or wicker lounge. The East Room overlooks the country club across the street.
The South Room is decorated in earth tones with a garden theme. There is a natural wicker seatee and country quilts on the wicker bed. Twin beds that may be converted to a king size make this a very popular room.
The West Room is distinguished by its lovely ivory-colored walls and green trim, lace curtains on the windows, and a country quilt on the queen bed. A private bath with tub and shower is just adjacent. Bathrobes are provided for your use in this charming room.

All rooms have private bath, small refrigerator, television, hair dryer, and air conditioning in season. Room prices are per night, based on double occupancy. Two night minimum (Holidays are 3-5 night minimum). Full breakfast included. We are a non-smoking home. Pool is for B&B guests only.
